Founded in 1986 as a travel company geared toward the young Jewish traveler, today Oranim Educational Initiatives is Israel's premiere educational tourism provider. Oranim has developed unique travel curricula based on the communality of the Jewish people, and we encourage travel to Israel as part of life-long learning concerning the history and heritage of the Jewish People. The Taglit-Birthright Israel gift covers roundtrip airfare plus 10-days of educational programming in Israel. Any Jewish youth, 18-26 (post high-school), who has never been to Israel on a peer-group educational program, is eligible to apply for the Taglit-Birthright Israel gift. Through MASA Israel Journey, Oranim Educational Initiatives is able to offer long term options in Israel ranging from internships, to volunteering or even learning. Programs start every several months and are open to any Jewish young adult, 18-30 (post high-school), who has not been on an organized five month program since 2004.
