Step 1 - REFUNDABLE TRIP DEPOSIT (Registration Stage 2)

ABOUT THE REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

A $300 USD refundable deposit is REQUIRED of all participants. This deposit will be refunded to you after successful completion of the program. Your spot on the program will not be secured without receipt of the deposit. However, sending in a deposit does not necessarily guarantee that you will travel. You will be notified by e-mail once we are able to assign you a seat. If a seat opens up after the cancellation date, we will contact you by phone before we ticket you. Until you receive an e-mail or phone call letting you know your departure date, you have not been assigned a seat.


PAYING YOUR DEPOSIT:

For deposits, Oranim has partnered with Payoneer. After paying your deposit online, Payoneer will issue you a personalized Prepaid MasterCard which will be mailed to you the first week of April 2008. The $300 deposit will "freeze" in your card's account and will be released within 60-days following the conclusion of your trip at which time you can then withdraw the money at an ATM or spend the money wherever MasterCard is accepted. While in Israel, Oranim will load money onto your card to cover some of your meal allowances. You can also choose to add money to it for your own personal use. You must, of course, remember to bring your card with you to Israel.

To get your personalized Prepaid MasterCard, you need to pay the deposit by credit card or direct deposit. YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $10 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for paying by credit card or a $5 non-refundable fee for the direct deposit option (i.e. you will be charged $310/$305 and will be refunded $300 upon successful completion of your trip). The non-refundable service fee (either $10 or $5) is assessed even if you are not assigned a seat. Payment by direct deposit is only available for bank accounts based in USA.

CANCELLATIONS

Trip cancellations must be made according to the cancellation date list below in order to receive your deposit back. All cancellations must be made in writing and received in advance of the following cancellation dates. NOTE: If you paid online, the non-refundable service fee ($10 or $5) will not be reimbursed. Your deposit will NOT be refunded if you cancel after the dates below.

Exact deadlines for notification of cancellation:

  • May Departures - March 17, 9:00 am EST
  • June Departures - April 14, 9:00 am EST
  • July Departures - May 12, 9:00 am EST
  • August Departures - June 16, 9:00 am EST


Important Note: These forms are the SECOND STAGE in the registration process. The FIRST STAGE is to complete the official Taglit-Birthright Israel registration form. Both steps are required if you want to travel.
